Setting up your Mail Client with Coreweb Development

When working with emails there are different ways you can access and use your mailbox. You have your browser access through webmail; email clients such as Google Gmail; and now email is also widely accessed through your mobile phone.

We are asked often how your email service with cwdevelop.co.uk can be set-up and used through one of the above options, and so we have setup a simple, easy to follow guide to setting up your mail client with Coreweb Development.

The information you will need:

Setting up your mail on Windows

  • Go to File > Select Email Accounts or Account Settings
  • Select ‘add new’
  • Follow the instructions on screen and enter your:
    • Name
    • Email
    • Password
  •  Enter your server settings:
    • Your incoming mail server is: yourdomain (example: cwdevelop.co.uk)
    • Your outgoing mail server is: yourdomain (example: cwdevelop.co.uk)
  • Select ‘more settings’
    • Make sure you tick “My server SMTP requires authentication” and “use same server as my incoming server”
  • Click ‘Advanced tab’
    • Check that your incoming port: 993 (imap)
    • Check that your outgoing port: 465 (SMTP)

Setting up your mail on Mac

  • Go to File > Select add account
  • Follow the instructions on screen and enter your:
    • Name
    • Email
    • Password
  • Ensure you deselect “Autoconfigure server”
  •  Enter your server settings:
    • Your incoming mail server is: yourdomain (example: cwdevelop.co.uk)
    • Your outgoing mail server is: yourdomain (example: cwdevelop.co.uk)
  • Click ‘Advanced tab’
    • Check that your incoming port: 993 (imap)
    • Check that your outgoing port: 465 (SMTP)
    • Ensure “Use Authentication” is selected and enter your User Name and Password if prompted
  • Click “Bring account online”

Setting up your mail on iPhone

  • Settings > Accounts
  • Add new account
  • Follow the instructions on screen and enter your:
    • Name
    • Email
    • Password
  • Ensure you deselect “Autoconfigure server”
  •  Enter your server settings:
    • Your incoming mail server is: yourdomain (example: cwdevelop.co.uk) (Port 993 (IMAP)
    • Your outgoing mail server is: yourdomain (example: cwdevelop.co.uk) (Port 465 (SMTP)
  • Click “Submit”

Setting up your mail on Android

  • Settings > Accounts
  • Add new account
  • Select Personal (IMAP)
  • Enter the email address we have sent you.
  • Enter the Password you have received.
  •  Enter your server settings:
    • Your incoming mail server is: yourdomain (example: cwdevelop.co.uk) (Port 993 (IMAP)
    • Your outgoing mail server is: yourdomain (example: cwdevelop.co.uk) (Port 465 (SMTP)
  • Now you should leave the default settings as the same.
  • Finally you’ll be given the chance to update your account name, you may set that as you please.
  • Click “Submit”
